Are your animals given hormones or antibiotics?
Our pork is fed antibiotic and hormone free, vegetarian feed from a local source. Our beef is not given any hormone implants and will not receive antibiotics. If our pigs or cows get sick, we will give them antibiotics but sell them through another avenue.
How soon should I expect to receive my meat after ordering?
We always ship on a Monday so your order will ship on the next Monday from when you order. If a Holiday falls on a Monday, we will ship Tuesday or the following week. Depending on where you live, your meat would arrive on Wednesday or Thursday of the week it is shipped. If you are local, we will coordinate delivery within one to two weeks of your order.
Where do you ship?
We ship anywhere in the continental United States.
How will my meat be packaged?
All of the cuts are individually vacuum-sealed in clear plastic (cryovac).
How do you ship the meat?
We ship the meat frozen in styrofoam insulated boxes that keep the meat cold up to 72 hours while in transit. The meat will be delivered to your door via UPS. We always ship on a Monday to insure your meat doesn’t sit over the weekend.
How much freezer space will I need?
For orders of 1/8th beef or less, or 1/2 pork or less, you should be able to use the space you have in your regular freezer, provided it is not full of other items. For orders greater than that, you will need an extra freezer. Plan on approximately one cubic foot of freezer space for every 15-20 pounds of meat. To see a diagram click here.
